Description
Description

This is the first appointment of Calvados (1942), reserved for the geographical area Pays d'Auge. Calvados Auge owes this designation both its soil and distillation (double distillation through a traditional copper still) to have natural qualities that make the power and finesse of a brandy of the highest class: the subtlety of the bouquet, smoothness of the flavor and long finish, that persistence of flavor that lasts long after tasting. Calvados contains alcohol levels of around 70% straight out of the still. You cannot bottle before a minimum of 2 years. During this period, the calvados evolves energy and aromas; Over the years the floral and fruity notes fade in favor of almond, vanilla and nutty notes, then ripe fruit, licorice and woody aromas.
