Description

The Ferreirinha house and its wines are synonymous with time and art. Thus happens since its foundation, in the eighteenth century, by the hand of Bernardo Ferreira, who saw the formula refined by the descendants, especially by his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who affectionately became known as "Ferreirinha" or "Ferreirinha-da-Régua" by the people of their land. By the hands of Dona Antónia, which twice widow found themselves at the head of a large company, Ferreira was admirably consolidated. Her entrepreneurial spirit taught her to predict, decide, create, teach and love, making her in a figure of great projection and charisma.

A uncommon caste, with less than 40 hectares planted in Portugal, but no less characteristic of the heritage of the Douro region.

Born of the intersection, probably natural, between Touriga Nacional and Malvasia Fina, Touriga-female is a true “daughter of the Douro”, also locally known as Touriga Brasileira.
