Created to be a sweeter and lighter Blended Scotch Whisky, this was the first whiskey created by Stephanie Macleod. Thanks to a unique Dewar's double aging process and its golden water source, Dewar's 15 -year -old is extraordinarily smooth, with grades of honey, caramel and floral flavor.
The 15 -year -old whiskey is aged twice to obtain extra softness.
Most whiskies aging only once, but in Dewar's things are done a little differently.
Selected malt whiskeys and thin grain whiskeys are aged separately in oak barrels for a minimum period of 15 years.
Master Blender Stephanie Macleod mixes the whiskeys that were aged separately, before aging them again in oak barrels.
This extra step is where magic really happens. Whiskies "marry" to create an incredibly smooth drink, appreciated worldwide.
