The Private Selection Red It was first released in 1987, with the name “Garrafeira”. Initially, produced from the best reserve spur barrels, today it results from the combination of unique portions of the territories where we are present in Alentejo. A wine that demonstrates the diversity and richness of the spur. In exceptional years this combination gives rise to the Torre do Esporão.
Vinification / Internship
Each plot was vinified and internship separately according to the potential of the profile of each caste and its origin.
Aragonez began alcoholic fermentation in foot marble mills and ended in concrete cups where it also performed the malo -fermentation. 5000 -liter French oak Balseiros de Balseiros de Carvalho.
Touriga Franca fermented in marble mills with foot and interned in 500 liters of French oak, where she also made the malo -fermentation followed by an internship.
Both installments of the Bouchet Alicant caste fermented separately in concrete cups. They performed Malolático fermentation in new 500 -liter French oak barrels, where they remained internship.
18 months in Barrels/Balseiros followed by 2 years in bottle.
COLOR: Deep grenade.
AROMA: Aromatic complexity rereading mature black fruit, fresh cocoa notes and some pepper.
Taste: Sedous, dense and firm texture, with the structure of the tannin to give intensity and persistence.
