TASTING NOTE
The Terroir Series 2020 - Vinhas da Marka red is a true jewel of the Douro Valley. It beautifully reflects the unique terroir and offers a perfect harmony of ripe fruits, subtle mineral notes and a touch of oak, creating a wonderfully balanced and nuanced flavor profile. Its complexity is captivating and reveals a new facet of its character with each sip. The smooth texture and well-integrated tannins lead to a delicious and persistent finish.
This wine is an excellent representation of the 2020 vintage and will certainly age well.

WINEMAKING
This wine is made with hand-picked grapes, hand-triage and complete disengage from the clusters of grapes. Selected yeasts are used to control the fermentation cycle. Fermentation is done in stainless steel trunk-conical vats at a controlled temperature between 25 °C and 27 °C. It follows the malolactic fermentation also conducted in stainless steel vats and French oak barrels.
AGING
The wine interned for 12 months in barrels of 225 liters of French oak, 80% new and 20% second year.
