Borges Reserva Douro is a white wine produced from the Gouveio and Viosinho grape varieties. Clear and straw-yellow in color, it presents an expressive and intense nose, marked by the presence of tropical fruits, floral nuances, notes of boxwood and lemon verbena, enveloped in vanilla aromas that result in a distinct and classic whole. On the palate, it is an elegant and fresh wine, with excellent structure and volume, balanced by a unique acidity. It has a long finish marked by a smoky character resulting from barrel aging.

Founded in 1884 by brothers António and Francisco, the Borges Wine Company quickly became one of the leading national wine companies.

Recognizing that only through excellence can Portuguese wines assert themselves in the world, Borges has always focused on the quality of its production, which is now exported to more than fifty countries across five continents.

Borges Reserva is a complex and vigorous white wine from the Douro region, presenting a light straw-yellow color. It displays exotic aromas of citrus fruits and tropical nuances, such as grapefruit, lemon, and mango, showing complexity and a silky texture. It is a wine that develops a sublime oiliness and aromas of vanilla, along with citric acidity.

Winemaking:
Borges Reserva is a white wine produced with white grapes from Gouveio and Viosinho in the Douro wine region. After pressing, the wine was fermented at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Following fermentation, the wine was transferred to new French and Hungarian oak barrels, where it came into contact with fine lees and underwent regular stirring for 6 months before bottling.

Exam Notes:
Borges Reserva is a white wine from the Douro wine region with exuberant citrus aromas, with hints of grapefruit and melon, revealing great complexity due to aging in French and Hungarian oak barrels. It presents enormous balance, oiliness, minerality and persistent freshness, despite its dry character.
