Description

Sogrape Vinhos was founded in 1942 by Fernando Van Zeller Guedes, with the ambition to make the world know the Portuguese wines and a long -term vision based on the quality of wines to market, the importance of the news of the brands and the presentation of their own Wines. Led today by the third generation of the founding family, Sogrape Vinhos is increasingly faithfully fulfills the goal taken from its foundation: being a family company and international vocation, focused on the production of quality wines, innovation and development of global Portuguese brands. Sogrape Vinhos has about 830 hectares of vineyards in Portugal.

The Ferreirinha house and its wines are synonymous with time and art. Thus happens since its foundation, in the eighteenth century, by the hand of Bernardo Ferreira, who saw the formula refined by the descendants, especially by his granddaughter Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, who affectionately became known as "Ferreirinha" or "Ferreirinha-da-Régua" by the people of their land. By the hands of Dona Antónia, which twice widow found themselves at the head of a large company, Ferreira was admirably consolidated. Her entrepreneurial spirit taught her to predict, decide, create, teach and love, making her in a figure of great projection and charisma.

Aroma: An aroma with intense notes of truffles and soil of the forest, pepper and ginger, along with notes of licorice, touches of minerality and a well -integrated wood element.

 Flavor: In the mouth, the wine has a good volume, round tannins, a living acidity and other spicy (black pepper and pepper) notes that invite an extremely elegant ending.

Vintage/winemaking: Produced in the Quinta do Seixo winery from selected grapes from the vineyard of the property. The harvest is performed manually and the grapes are carefully classified in the vineyard and again upon arrival at the winery. After smooth crushing and total deceivement, the grapes are transferred to stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation occurs. A long, smooth maceration follows a controlled temperature.
