Casa Relvas presents “DE.ZAS.SE.TE”, the latest release from the Alentejo producer. Named after its characteristic alcohol content (17% alcohol by volume), this wine is the result of a special year.

“For some time now we have felt that there was room and market interest for wines with these characteristics. We hadn't yet managed to find the balance and structure that these wines need, but in 2020 we did. It was a difficult year in the Alentejo, but the hot, dry summer and the cold, dry nights during ripening allowed us to preserve the acidity and achieve quite balanced levels of phenolic ripeness, which are very necessary in wines with this profile,” explains Alexandre Relvas, CEO of Casa Relvas.

Produced from Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Franca, and Trincadeira grapes, grown in the clay-limestone soils of Vidigueira, this wine aged for nine months in 3,000-liter barrels and is now ready to be enjoyed. With a production of 10,000 bottles, “DE.ZAS.SE.TE” is now available.
