Description
Description
ORIGIN - Grapes from vineyards planted in the Superior Douro in Viticulture of Rainfall (unighed vineyards), at an average altitude of 300 meters, from vineyards with an average age of about 20 years, generally planted in levels with predominant spring / north exposure. We are looking for a selection of grapes that allow us to obtain very aromatic and rich concentrated wines with good structure, gastronomic character that represent the "terroir" of the Superior Douro, with their notes and very elegant black spices and fruits.
Vinification - Manual vintage, reception with full disgust and immediate crushing, grapes are fermented by caste and lots, so that it can be able to make a rigorous selection that will then give rise to the very traditional old world blend, It reveals the art of selecting grapes by installments and the art of selecting wines and then filling. The fermentation is made in small capacity stainless steel, with temperatures around 28 ° C. Soft and controlled macerations to obtain elegant and aromatic wines.
INTERNSHIP - 50% of the internship lot for a period of 8 months in used French oak barrels and the remaining 50% in stainless steel vats.
Intense aroma of great complexity, aromas of woods of the woods and Esteva da Touriga Franca, spices and red fruits of the roriz ink and very fresh and elegant violet floral notes of Touriga Nacional. 8 -month internship in French barrels give the internship notes of a great Douro wine with a modern and international profile. In the mouth it is fresh and engaging, with very soft noble tannins, long and persistent end
