Port from a single harvest of the year. Instead of indicating the age like a mixed tawny (10, 20, 30, 40...), the year is always mentioned on the label. However, they should not be confused with Vintage Port. Since the "Colheita" must age for at least seven years in an oak barrel (but of course the complexity, aroma and refined flavors could not reach the leaps of an old "Colheita", such as, for example, a rare "Colheita" Golden White from 1952 bottled in 2009... 57 years in French oak tubes).Intense aroma and flavor: fruit jelly, quince jelly, spices, in the younger wines. With age, the wine develops other flavors: nuts, cinnamon, coffee, but always fresh and elegant.
