Side Dishes: A versatile wine that perfectly accompanies a foie-gras terrine. It also goes well with the best conventual desserts based on eggs, with dark chocolate or served on its own at the end of the meal.

Description

It represents two percent of the total port production of one year, only top quality grapes are used (A and B). Featuring excellent organoleptic characteristics, they must be very full -bodied and deep. Old ports are aged for a maximum of two and a half years before traffic jam and usually require a minimum period of three to four years before being served and others from ten to thirty years on average aging in the bottle, before reaching what is considered a proper consumption. It has a huge aging and aromatic potential, with floral notes and red fruits. Exceptional body and silky structure of tannins, which leads to a long and lush flavor.
