Description
A wine with a citrine color and an aroma that blends very fresh mineral and tropical notes. The palate is structured with a pleasant freshness, balance, and persistence.
Winemaking:
Today, a century later and having survived expropriation following the 1974 revolution, Herdade do Mouchão continues to be managed by descendants of the original family, whose winery and vineyard workers have been with them for generations. The process is, as it always has been, unhurried. The grape varieties are local, harvested by hand and foot-trodden. Mouchão is aged for four years before being put up for sale. In the ever-changing world of winemaking, Herdade do Mouchão remains a traditional, family-run winery.
