The challenge for winemakers to find the four castes that this year have the greatest empathy and together produce a complex and distinct wine profile.

AGRICULTURE

After a dry, cold winter, it followed an early rainy spring, replacing the levels of soil moisture suitable for the onset of vegetative cycle. The fact that spring temperatures, and even mid -summer, were milder than in previous years, led to the entire cycle to suffer a delay, but enabled good plant development.  In early August, a five -day heat wave, when temperatures exceeded 43 degrees accompanied by strong gusts of wind, caused severe damage to more sensitive varieties to such conditions, leading to production breaks. However, in most of our vineyards, where better castes predominate to these climacteric events, a slow and regular maturation, ideal for the perseverance of freshness and aromatic intensity of white wines and the texture, concentration and complexity of red wines, has been developed. .

Vinification / Internship

Fermentation with controlled temperatures (22 to 25 ° C) in concrete cups and stainless steel vats. 6 months in concrete and stainless steel vats.

Alentejo regional wine that results from the best lot of four painted castes, well-sought to terroir and that are evident with each vintage. Each caste is vinified separately in order to enhance the unique characteristics of each.

COLOR: Clear aspect, intense ruby ​​color.

AROMA: Black fruits, with highlight of wild blackberries from Touriga Franca and special notes of cloves and nutmeg resulting from the Touriga Nacional stage in concrete cups.

Taste: Dense and rich, with small ink contributing to freshness and elegance and the red dog to complement with texture and persistence.
