Subject to consultation
The challenge for winemakers is to find the four grape varieties that, this year, show the greatest compatibility and, together, produce a complex and distinctive wine profile.
AGRICULTURE
Following a dry and cold winter, a rainy start to spring restored soil moisture levels suitable for the beginning of the vegetative cycle. The fact that spring temperatures, and even until mid-summer, were milder than in previous years meant that the entire cycle was somewhat delayed, but allowed for good plant development. At the beginning of August, a heat wave, with five consecutive days in which temperatures exceeded 43 degrees Celsius accompanied by strong gusts of wind, caused severe damage to varieties more sensitive to these types of conditions, leading to production losses. However, in most of our vineyards, where varieties better adapted to these climatic events predominate, a slow and regular ripening developed, ideal for the perseverance of the freshness and aromatic intensity of the white wines and the texture, concentration and complexity of the red wines.
VINIFICATION / AGING
Fermentation with controlled temperatures (22 to 25ºC) in concrete and stainless steel tanks. 6 months in concrete and stainless steel tanks.
