Alicante Bouschet is a teinturier grape variety of French origin, which gives the wine body, concentration and good aging potential. This wine results from the expression of the Alicante Bouschet grape variety in 3 distinct origins, in a year especially conducive to the good performance of this variety. The sub-region of Reguengos de Monsaraz contributed with intensity, texture and concentration, and the sub-region of Portalegre promoted its vitality.
VINIFICATION / AGING
Hand-harvested. Alcoholic fermentation, followed by malolactic fermentation in small-capacity concrete tulips. One year in 5000-liter vats (30% of the batch) of French oak and 500-liter barrels (70% of the batch). Followed by aging for at least two years in the bottle.
COLOR: Deep and concentrated.
AROMA: Complex aroma of the grape variety from which it originated, with notes of plum, dark chocolate and a touch of leather.
PALATE: The classic structure of austere tannins is complemented by the intensity of the fruit, consistent and rich, and a long, peppery finish.
