Description

Wine produced exclusively with grapes cultivated in the Herdade do Esporão, following biological agriculture practices. With sense of place, intense direct and vibrant that expresses the typicality of the year of harvesting, the diversity of soils where the vineyards are planted and the identity of the selected castes.

AGRICULTURE

The 2022 agricultural year was a dry year. In the period of vegetative rest (autumn-winter) and in spring, mild temperatures and low precipitation values ​​were verified. In the vineyard, the abrolling was early, like the previous year, and moderate temperatures anticipated the vegetative development. Very high temperatures and lack of water in summer contributed to distant maturation between the castes resulting in a vintage of precision and especially focused on the expression of each variety.

Vinification / Internship

Development and crushing, co-fermentation of different stainless steel castes, at controlled temperatures, followed by malolactic fermentation.

In concrete cups, for 4 months, where microxygenation conditions, only of this type of deposit, respect and enhance the character of wine.

COLOR: Clear aspect, ruby ​​color.

AROMA: Notes of fresh red fruit, currant, with a floral and spice nuance.

Taste: Fresh and straightforward, with an elegant texture where notes of ginja and red fruits predominate. Living tannin that gives you a little rusticity. Fresh and elegant ending.
