Description

The first wine made by Esporão in 1985. Our classic Alentejo, obtained solely from our grapes, in biological production mode. The diversity of the Herdade do Esporão, together with the different characteristics of castes, soils, the maturity of the vineyards and the people who make this wine consistently over the years result in a rich, intense but always harmonious wine. Label illustrated by Alexandre Conefrey.

Vinification / Internship

Separate harvesting from each caste, deceival, crushing, alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats, concrete tanks and small marble mills, with controlled temperatures, pressing, followed by the malletary fermentation in stainless steel bowl.

12 months in American and French oak barrels, new (20%) and used (80%). After the traffic jam, at least 6 months of internship was followed in bottle.

COLOR: Intense ruby.

AROMA: Fruits of the woods, with nuances of black blackberries and ripe plum, complemented by spice notes of shin and licorice.

Taste: Rich and elegant, where they predominate grades of wild fruits and sweet spices, in a harmonious and fresh set. Persistent and balanced ending.
