Gin Drumshanbo Gunpowder Sardinian Citrus from The Shed Distillery. Here, by a lake, in a shed in a small Irish town, the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Inside is the lab of PJ Rigney, craft spirits maker who distills gin with nature's finest oriental botanicals and gunpowder tea.

Eight botanicals (juniper berries, angelica root, orris roots, caraway seeds, coriander seeds, sweet meadow, cardamom and aniseed) are slowly hand distilled in a copper pot. Four additional botanicals (Oriental Lemon, Oriental Lemon, Grapefruit Fresh Tea, and Gunpowder) are infused with steam. Deliciously fresh and rounded at the front with citrus, juniper and spicy notes immediately evident. A Juniper expected following close behind. Powdered tea, coriander and meadowsweet are notable. The overall impression is of a very balanced and surprising gin.
