Niepoort Ladredo

The grapes for the Ladredo 2017 wine were harvested by hand on the 15th of September. Alcoholic fermentation took place in an open wooden vat, with 100% stems.

The wine was in vat and in contact with the skins for 2 months and then aged in 228 liter French oak barrels for 22 months. This wine was bottled with vegetable protein and unfiltered.

This Mencía from Ribeira Sacra, stands out for its character and liveliness. It is a structured, elegant, fresh and very complex wine. On the nose, it presents notes of tobacco, red fruits such as berries, a menthol that gives it vivacity, floral nuances, and spices such as pepper and nutmeg.

In the mouth it is, at the same time, elegant and structured. It finishes long and persistent with a fantastic acidity, hinting at a promising future in the bottle.
