Description
WINEMAKING
The grapes for the Ladredo 2017 wine were hand-harvested on September 15th. Alcoholic fermentation took place in an open wooden vat, using 100% of the stems.
The wine remained in vats in contact with the skins for 2 months and subsequently aged in 228-liter French oak barrels for 22 months. This wine was bottled, fortified with vegetable protein, and unfiltered.
TEST NOTES
This Mencía from Ribeira Sacra stands out for its character and vivacity. It is a structured, elegant, fresh and very complex wine. On the nose it presents notes of tobacco, red fruits such as berries, a menthol note that gives it vivacity, floral nuances, and spices such as pepper and nutmeg.
On the palate it is both elegant and structured. It finishes long and persistent with fantastic acidity, suggesting a promising future in the bottle.
