Winemaking:
The grapes are harvested manually in September in 20 kg boxes. In the winery, before destemming, they spend 12 hours in a cooling chamber at 10ºC. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks with indigenous yeasts at 25ºC. During the maturation process, the wine is not moved to respect the character of the grapes. The grapes come from a plot in Mêda (Douro Superior) at 600 meters facing north, in the transition from schist to granite soils. It matures in cement vats for 9 months.
Tasting notes: This wine offers a fresh and different perspective on Douro wines. Light red in color, this wine is fresh, youthful, and bold, while retaining the complexity of the Douro soils. With aromas of cherry, raspberry, and rose, it's an easy-drinking wine with a long, velvety finish of fresh fruit and spicy aromas. Serve at 17°C.
