INTRODUCTION: An unusual style, this Niepoort Dry White. The grapes for this wine undergo a long maceration with skins and stems. The final batch includes several wines aged in small old oak barrels in the Vila Nova de Gaia cellars, a minimum of 3 and a half years before bottling.


VINIFICATION: The grapes for this wine undergo a long maceration with the skins. It is vinified in vats, occasionally with foot treading. Fermentation continues almost to dryness before the addition of brandy. It ages in small old oak barrels in the cellars of Vila Nova de Gaia for a minimum of 3 and a half years before bottling.


TASTING NOTES: Blond, with a delicious aroma of nuts and almonds that lasts in the mouth with a fresh and concentrated finish, due to the long aging in small old oak barrels.
