The vines at Quinta da Manoella are over a hundred years old, flanked on both sides by younger vines, capable of producing wines with high freshness and delicacy, and with a concentration that quickly makes them recognized as some of the best wines in the Douro.

Founded in 2001 by the winemaking couple Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, the company Wine & Soul has invested in and purchased old vineyards and properties in the Pinhão River valley.

The couple's goal is to create wines that express the full character of the old vines and indigenous grape varieties of the Douro, seeking a balance between concentration, complexity, and elegance.

A vine over 100 years old from the Pinhão River Valley. A truly sublime and sophisticated aroma, many red berries (currant, among others), undergrowth, a truly discreet oak note, and a perception of depth and mystery. On the palate, textured, medium-bodied, light and smooth, with great overall subtlety, the oak note showing itself slightly more than on the nose. A fabulous Douro, perhaps at its best!
