Quinta da Manoella Vinhas Velhas tinto

Jorge is the 5th generation of a long lineage of wine producers and wineries. Thus, in 2009, Sandra and Jorge acquired Quinta da Manoella, a property with a story that dates back to 1838.

Quinta da Manoella vineyards are over a hundred years old, flanked by younger vineyards, being able to produce wines with high freshness and delicacy, and with a concentration that makes them quickly recognized as one of the best Douro wines .

Founded in 2001 by the winemaker Sandra Tavares da Silva and Jorge Serôdio Borges, Wine & Soul has invested and bought old vineyards and properties in the Pinhão River Valley.

The couple's objective is to create wines that express all the character of the old vineyards and indigenous castes of the Douro, seeking the balance between concentration, complexity and elegance.

It came with over 100 years of the Pinhão River Valley. Truly sublime and sophisticated aroma, many incarnate berries (currant, among others), bush, truly discreet barrel, and perception of depth and mystery. Textured mouthproof, light and soft body, great subtlety, with the barrel showing itself slightly more than in the nose. A fabulous Douro, perhaps in its best edition!
