Marquis is a lot of wine selected to honor the Marques de Soveral, born in São João da Pesqueira, in 1851, at Quinta de Cidrô, then owned by the aristocratic Soveral family. As a result of a rigorous selection of the best Sauvignon Blanc grapes, Marquis Branco is assumed to be the top of Cidrô Quinta range.
This fresh and very intense white, which so eloquently expresses the excellence of cidrô wines, results from a careful selection of Sauvignon Blanc, one of the predominant white castes on the property. Created as an experience, this white once again represents ours continues to innovate. Each year, our winemaker selects a small and specific portion of each white caste to intern in 550L barrels, thus showing us the different approaches and virtues of the Durienses whites. This Sauvignon Blanc, among others, showed an excellent character, which excited us to bottling him separately.
An unusual and innovative white Duriense that reveals itself as a true top of range for its enormous freshness, intensity and aromatic complexity where mineral aromas and notes of green, grapefruit and asparagus with a wooden nuace are emphasized. In the mouth reveals freshness and fruity flavors, where the mineral aspect is present again ending with a long and persistent end of proof, crowned by a very fine and balanced acidity.
