The Douro region is known for its port wines and very concentrated reds and full and powerful structure. Producing a rosé under the conditions provided to us by terroir is no easy task, and it is necessary to find the perfect balance in terms of pelicular maceration, so as not to extract too much color and at the same time obtain aromas and flavors with the subtlety worthy of A large rosé. In the beginning of the project, we consider Quinta de Cidrô for its high altitude (550m) and mild temperatures, conditions that are ideas for the production of a fresh and aromatic rosé. We selected the Touriga Nacional castes, for their fresh and floral character, and Touriga frank for its structure and acidity.

Quinta de Cidrô Rosé is shiny with fine and delicate aromas where they are immediately emphasized notes of raspberry and currant combined with floral nuances. A balanced and elegant wine that becomes very refreshing and velvety, with a lot of fruit and good acidity. An ideal partner to accompany a pizza.

Fermentation: The grapes are pressed in pneumatic press the same way as whites, where the shells are removed from the juice. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel cups with temperature control.
