Description
Winemaking:
Rosé is made from the first juice obtained when making Vintage Port. The lagares (traditional stone troughs) are filled with grapes, and before treading, the tap is opened and the juice is allowed to drain. This results in a more concentrated Vintage Port and a rosé wine with great body and intense color. After fermentation at low temperature in a small stainless steel tank, much of the rosé remains in the tank.
Exam Notes:
A wine with appealing red fruit aromas and a hint of wild strawberries. Completely dry on the palate, this wine has good freshness and a pleasant acidity.
