The vineyards are located at an average altitude of 750 meters, in the middle of the Iberian plateau, protected by a mountainous topography (Marofa and Castelo Rodrigo mountain ranges). This wine was made exclusively from grapes from our old vineyard in Síria, the Lomedo Vineyard, planted in the 1970s. The soils are granitic with a schist component. The distinctly continental climate features harsh winters and very hot, dry summers, where temperature variations can reach 20ºC throughout the day. This combination of factors results in wines of great aromatic exuberance and freshness.
WINEMAKING
The grapes were harvested and selected by hand, transported to the winery where they were kept at low temperatures for 48 hours. After this period, they were pressed directly into French oak barrels. This wine fermented for 4 weeks and aged for 22 months, with regular "batonnage". Naturally stabilized.
1650 bottles were produced.
