Quinta do Crasto Monovarietals

The year 2019 had mild temperatures (less 5ºC than the average of the last 5 years in Quinta do Crasto) that have been felt from May until the end of August. This factor contributed positively to the grape maturation period during the months of July and August to occur slowly and very balanced which resulted in exceptional levels of grape maturation. As a reflection of the balance that occurred during the vegetative cycle, we have in 2019 very complete red wines, where we can find vibrant aromas, excellent concentration, solid structure and above all great balance, indicating an excellent potential for evolution.

Vinification: The grapes, from the best Touriga NacionalA do Crasto Touriga Slots, were transported in 22kg capacity boxes and subject to a rigorous screening at the entrance of the cellar. After a total depletion and slight crushing, the must was transferred to stainless steel fermentation vats with controlled temperature. At the end of alcoholic fermentation, a smooth pressing was proceeded.
The Quinta do Crasto Touiga Nacional2019 interned in French oak barrels where it remained 18 months. Bottled in March 2022.
