In the mouth test starts compactly, evolving into a very seductive wine, where we can find smooth texture tannins in perfect harmony with nasal notes that resemble fresh woods. It ends very engagingly, in perfect balance and with excellent persistence. A singular wine that expresses the entire identity of the centenary came Maria Teresa.
Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between the ruler and the pinion, Quinta do Crasto, it is a property with about 130 hectares, of which 70 are occupied by vineyards. They are also part of the company's heritage to Quinta do Quirindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira, in Douro Superior, with 114 hectares of vineyards.
With a privileged location in the Douro Demarcated region, Quinta do Crasto has been the property of Leonor and Jorge Roquette's family for over a century. As is usually the big Thursdays of the Douro, the origin of Quinta do Crasto dates back to distant times - the name Crasto derives from the Latin "Castrum", which means strong Roman.
