Quinta dos Avidagos Reserva is a very elegant, well-balanced, smooth, well-structured, mature red wine from the Douro region, with rich, closed tannins, extraordinary aromas of wild red berries, and very mild acidity.

Exam notes:
Quinta dos Avidagos is a mineral and elegant red wine from the Douro region. It has a broad aromatic intensity and the presence of ripe fruit, with flavors of wild red berries and fresh notes of granite and damp schist. It finishes with round and juicy tannins with a smooth acidity.

Winemaking:
Quinta dos Avidagos Reserva is a red wine produced from indigenous red grape varieties Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, and Touriga Nacional from the Douro wine region. After a short maceration, fermentation took place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wines remained in stainless steel tanks, in contact with lees, where they underwent constant pump-overs. Part of the batch was aged in second-use French oak barrels for 12 months before the wine was blended and bottled.
