Quinta Dos Murças Reserva Red

Quinta dos Murças Reserva is born in the oldest vineyards of the farm, located between 150m and 280m altitude, with exposure to the west. This is the classic version of the farm wines where the terroir It gives rise to wines of great elegance and aging potential.

Winter was very rainy, very cold spring, which delayed the entire vegetative cycle. Summer, for its part, was hot and dry, which allowed to recover delay and accelerate maturation, which translated into grapes of good concentration, acidity and aromas. The vintage began on September 6th and ended on October 7th.

Winemaking / internship: Manual vintage, selection table, deceival, crushing, alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts at controlled temperatures (25º to 28ºC) in granite mills using foot and pressing in an old vertical press. In French oak barrels used for 12 months.

COLOR: Intense and deep.

AROMA: Complex aroma, fresh and elegant, dominated by black fruits, balsamic aromas, such as Esteva, and notes of spices from their internship in barrel.

Taste: Firm and concentrated, with a well -present and balanced acidity, has mature and well involved tannins.  It has a long and persistent ending, dominated by fruit notes, where its balance and elegance stands out.
