Real Companhia Velha Séries Rufete Red

The Rufete grape variety reveals nobility through its aging potential and produces quite exotic red wines. Very round, with smooth tannins, medium-bodied but very elegant, with aromas of red and black fruits. The wines seem light when compared to classic Douro wines, but in fact they have a lot of personality and hold up very well on the finish. Serve at a low temperature.

Winemaking:
A very fine and elegant wine made 100% from the Rufete grape, which we ferment in two small stainless steel vats, partially destemmed and partially destemmed. These two different micro-vinifications allow us to extract, on the one hand, the greenish and rustic side of Rufete and, on the other, a more elegant and fruity style. The wine then ages in used French oak barrels to ensure a correct balance between the oak and the varietal character of the wine.
