Alentejo wine with high altitude character and differentiation.
In 2013, Sónia Martins identified the perfect characteristics in Serra de São Mamede, in Portalegre, to begin producing Alentejo wines with an altitude and distinctive character. In the Serra de São Mamede, through the fusion of schist, clay and granite soils, he managed to produce wines with an enviable minerality, also standing out for the freshness of the altitude. On the Tapada do Coronel property, in old vineyards, the Sericaia Tapada do Coronel edition took shape.
Sericaia Tapada do Coronel Branco shows a beautiful aromatic finesse, with hints of wild flowers, honey, ripe orange, all wrapped in discreet smoke from the barrel. With a full body lightened by refreshing acidity, it is a different, personalized, firm and long white.
Nose: Elegant aroma, mineral with fruit well combined with the smoky wood
Color: Bright citrine yellow
Mouth: Very balanced in the mouth, with good texture and acidity, it presents flavors of ripe fruit evolving into more complex flavors due to its aging in wood
Winemaking: Light skin maceration, fermentation at low temperatures in French oak barrels.
Aging: 4 months in French oak barrels with batonnage.
