Tasting notes: Deep garnet color. Fresh and with great aromatic complexity, wild berries, undergrowth, rockrose, resin, earth and some leather with balsamic nuances. On the palate it is extremely elegant, with volume and very expressive ripe fruit, a classic Alentejo style. Firm tannins and good acidity, very balanced and engaging from beginning to end.
Winemaking: Hand-harvested grapes from various plots within the Tapada estate, located between 350 and 400 meters above sea level. Manual selection of the grapes – berry by berry, with total destemming and pre-fermentation cold maceration for 5 days. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts, carried out in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Post-fermentation maceration for 30 days, preceding aging in 225, 300, and 525-liter barrels, with spontaneous development of malolactic fermentation.
