Description
Three types of blackbird live together at Quinta do Vallado – the blackbird (Turdus Merula), and the protected species water blackbird (Cinclus Cinclus) and blue blackbird (Monticola Solitarius) – which served as inspiration for the name and label of this wine. data-mce-fragment="1"> The grapes were harvested manually and vinified in stainless steel vats with a capacity of 5 and 10 tons and a small part in wine presses. The must fermented for about a week at 23º – 25º C, with approximately 45% of the wine aged for 16 months in 225-litre French oak barrels; the remaining wine aged for the same period in stainless steel vats.
