Descrição
Distilled from 100% Scottish barley and peated at 128.9 PPM, Octomore 14.1 is young and dynamic. As part of the 14th annual series, it offers a balance of smokiness, malt, barrel and maturation. Aged for five years in American whiskey barrels, it highlights notes of smoky vanilla, sweet caramel, citrus, roasted coffee and subtle spices.
Aroma: Aroma with notes of sautéed vanilla, sweet caramel, and toffee, balanced with delicate coconut and lightly sautéed flaked almonds. An unmistakable earthy flavor and a citrusy touch of lemon meringue pie that balances the rich, salty fragrance of barbecue.
Flavor: Citrus, smoky notes, and a distinct minerality, followed by charred oak and embers from a beach bonfire. Caramel and creamy vanilla balance with earthy smoke, with special notes of pear, currant, and green apple. Roasted coffee, notes of clove and nutmeg, with a soft touch of heather honey.
End: Caramel and vanilla are balanced with the smoky, earthy peat characteristic of Octomore and a touch of saline mist, with burnt heather and gorse flowers.
