Delicate, yet beautifully aromatic. Smooth and ripe with hints of orange and raisins, notes of toasted almond nuts. Soft, well-integrated and extremely elegant, a sweetness of fruit, honey and mild spices, balanced acidity leaves the mouth very clean with a long-lasting flavor of great finesse. The exceptional character of this fine Old Tawny also warranted an exceptional maturation process in only the most select oak barrels, to acquire its distinctive pale medium amber color with reddish-brown notes.

Winemaking:
Aged patiently in the intense silence and unique atmosphere of the company's two-hundred-year-old cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia, this fine Old Tawny, over 40 years old, is presented to the market at its best. The time spent in the aging process was precisely what was needed for the wine to reach its exact point of maturation and the inimitable qualities of a wine full of history.
