Port Wine producers for five generations, the Viera de Sousa family is now surprising with the launch of 90 bottles over 90 years old. The wine, named by his daughters "90th Anniversary António Vieira de Sousa", aged in silence in the family's cellars in a cask between barrels and vats and was found by his daughter Luísa years before.
This wine was bottled by his two daughters, Luísa and Maria, not only as a tribute to their father, but as a sincere "Thank you". António Vieira de Sousa has always been one of the pillars of the family and, thanks to his persistence and entrepreneurial vision, he has stored, over the last few decades, a wide variety of barrels of fortified wine. Years later, António's stubbornness led to the creation of the producing and bottling company Vieira de Sousa.
António Eduardo Vieira de Sousa Borges, also known as "Menino António", was born in Celeirós do Douro on April 9, 1928, the son of Jorge Costa Borges de Sousa and Maria Luísa Vieira de Sousa Borges, both ancestors of two Port Wine Families.
The wine was bottled in handcrafted Cristal bottles produced with gold and silver lettering by Atlantis. The bottles are individually numbered and were entirely handcrafted in Portugal. The box's design combines two different notes, the place where the kite was found and António's entrepreneurial side. The box's square shape was based on António's old calculator box, while the materials and colors recall the dark space where the kite was found.

Test results
This Port Wine is the result of aging for more than 90 years in barrels, having undergone high evaporation and consequent concentration. This one has a fantastic unctuousness, a dark greenish color, a refreshing sweetness, roasted coffee notes and a fantastic acidity. All these notes confirm its age... Port wine has these magnificent discoveries!
