Ideal for everyday drinking, informally at home with family or friends; a great wine to relax and unwind. Herbal and spicy aromas reveal tropical fruits; lychees and passion fruit, overflowing with youthful vigor. On the palate, exuberantly fresh and spicy, with some notes of green apple, great vivacity and crisp acidity. Refreshing and stimulating – it will delight your palate.
Winemaking:
This fresh white wine comes from the Douro Valley in northern Portugal. It is produced from grapes grown in cooler, higher-altitude vineyards, where the ripening of the white grapes can be more uniform and homogeneous. The winemakers aim for a balanced flavor extraction. The result is a spicy and aromatic wine, with tropical fruit notes and refreshing acidity. Made by the Symington family, producers in the Douro since the 19th century. Grapes sourced from Quinta da Fonte Branca, near Lamego, and selected winegrowers in the Alijó and Favaios areas. Vinification took place in the modern facilities of the Symington family's Quinta do Sol, equipped with the latest winemaking technology. The grapes were gently crushed after destemming, followed by some contact with the skins to extract the desired aromatic compounds. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks (capacity for 20 tons) at a controlled temperature of 14-15ºC, for maximum retention of primary aromas. Aged for 5 months in stainless steel tanks with minimal oxygen contact to preserve all the aromatic freshness of the wine.
