Opaque violet color. The aroma shows red fruits and some vegetables, with notes of cherry and cassis, complexed by nuances of spices and mint. On the palate, firm but round tannins predominate, accompanied by a crunchy acidity that makes it extremely gastronomic and persistent.
The Producer
Casal do Paço, in Vasco Croft since the 17th century, has the soul of an old farmhouse, and was the starting point of the Aphros project. It extends over around 20 hectares of land and forest, six of which are vineyards and four chestnut orchards. In the center there is a manor house in granite from the 17th century. XVI, with 2 floors and chapel. The cellar on the first floor dates back to the origin of the house. In October 2006, the first biodynamic process was implemented, marking the beginning of something that would transform both the farm and its wines.
Casal do Paço is today recognized as a model ecological winery committed to the preservation of its ecosystems, which include not only vineyards, but also entire forests of acacias, oaks, eucalyptus and centenary trees, home to wild boars, foxes and eagles.
