Atlantis is produced by the Madeira Wine Company, owners of the famous Madeira wine brands Cossart Gordon, Blandy's, Miles and Leacock's.

Once known as the pearl of the Atlantic, Madeira Island is recognized as one of the most prestigious wine regions in the world. Now focused on the production of still white and rosé wines, the grapes are grown in Raposeira, in the municipality of Calheta, one of the prime sub-regions for the Verdelho grape variety, on the west side of the island. The must is 100% Verdelho free-run wine which, after becoming wine, ages for four months in stainless steel tanks in an inert environment until bottling.
