Quinta da Bacalhôa Baga Red

Intense ruby ​​color. Fruity aroma and flavor with hints of intense red fruits and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is a powerful yet elegant wine, balanced, very full-bodied with a persistent finish.

Winemaking:
Bacalhôa Baga originates from an ideal terroir for the Baga grape variety (clay-limestone soils and western exposure). The colheita benefited from slow ripening, with the year unfolding perfectly – sunny but not excessively hot, and despite some rainfall at the beginning of the harvest season, we obtained ripe and healthy fruit. This was followed by traditional vinification with pre-fermentation cold maceration and a lengthy cuvaison, resulting in a wine intense in color, aroma, and flavor, and very elegant. A final stage before bottling was 14 months of aging in new 300-liter French and Russian oak barrels.
