In the early nineteenth century, one of the most interesting pages of Portuguese wine was born, a wine was born that would become an icon, the target of greed, but was always kept, willingly, outside the lights of the Ribalta. Its creator, Alexandre de Almeida, imported the concept of combining the luxury hotel with a wine cellar and wine. Thus were the great wines of Buçaco.
