Calcário 3 do Principal Branco is an excellent white wine produced by Quinta Colinas de São Lourenço, located in the Bairrada region of Portugal. This wine is made exclusively from the Chardonnay grape variety, one of the most prestigious white grape varieties worldwide.

The winemaking process follows a meticulous approach to preserve the characteristics of the grape variety and terroir. After a light pre-fermentation cold maceration, the grapes are gently pressed in a "Coquard" press. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for a pure expression of the variety. After fermentation, the wine is transferred to 300-liter French oak barrels (5-15% new), where malolactic fermentation finishes and aging begins. During the first few months, bâtonnage (stirring of the lees) is carried out to impart complexity to the wine. Aging in wood lasts between 6 and 9 months, followed by 3 months in 2000-liter used oak casks before bottling. This process gives the wine a solid structure and a distinct minerality.
