TEST NOTES: Ruby with opaque center. Black fruit aroma, cedar, leather, graphite. Full -bodied, with firm tannins, but polished edges. Vibrant acidity that remains throughout the test. Very long and mineral end.
Terroir: Atlantic influence climate, protected by the mountains of Caramulo and Buçaco. Vineyards planted in high density (5555 feet per hectare) in gentle hills of soils, in the famous limestone stain in the region. Fully rainfed vineyards.
Vinification: Manual vintage with selection in carpet of choice at the entrance of the cellar. Following is the depletion and crushing, being the result transferred to stainless steel vats with temperature control where alcoholic fermentation and mololatic fermentation occurs. Maceration for about 20 days, applying the delestage technique. The wine is then internship for 24 to 30 months in used French oak barrels 225 liters. I interns even more 6 years in the bottle before being launched in the market.
