The aroma is dominated by vegetal, citrus, and stone fruit notes. On the palate, the wine is lively, enveloping, and creamy, with the oak and acidity in perfect harmony.
Winemaking:
Hand-harvested in early September into 20kg boxes. Pre-selected grapes from the best vineyards on the Favaios plateau. Pre-fermentation maceration for 4 days in a cold chamber, followed by gentle pressing to obtain the free-run juice. The Gouveio and Viosinho wines (90% of the blend) ferment and age in first and second-year barrels for 12 months. The Arinto and Rabigato (remaining 10% of the blend) ferment and age in stainless steel for 12 months. After the final blend, aging in stainless steel continues for a further 6 months, with regular stirring of the fine lees.
