Description
Cepas Cinquentenárias red wine, made with Castelão, Baga, Camarate and Bastardo grapes from vines planted in 1961, offers an intense aroma of red fruits, with a smooth texture and a salty touch. Its long finish is intense, complex and delicate, providing a remarkable experience.
On this property, where the prestigious Serras de Grândola wines originate, we find a vineyard that is over 50 years old, planted in 1961, and a younger vineyard, from 2008. Located just 10 km from the coast, between the beaches of Aberta Nova and Galé, the vineyards benefit from the influence of the Atlantic breezes.
Its location at an altitude of 150 meters, on the western slope of the Serra de Grândola mountain range, provides cool nights that favor balanced ripening. Furthermore, the remarkable soils, rich in iron and schist, complement the uniqueness of the... terroir .
Wine production is a family endeavor carried out in the family's cellar, with soils that are naturally poor in organic matter and have a strong presence of iron, contributing to the characteristic minerality of the wines.
