Champagne Bollinger Bruto Rosé
Description

Bollinger House is a true legend, one of the biggest names in Champagne, founded in 1829. It is the official Champagne brand of the James Bond films and the official supplier to the British court by order of Queen Victoria. Since then, it has been the drink of choice for the main festivities of the English monarchy, including the wedding of Charles and Diana in 1981, for example.

La Grande Année is an exceptional vintage, revealed through Bollinger's expertise. Connoisseurs will recognize the texture of this wine, but may be surprised to discover what makes 2015 so special. La Grande Année presents sensory and emotional qualities that evoke the theme of the forest and the wild world, a universe that lent structure and precision to both cuvées during their aging in oak casks. Our expertise fosters the development of flavors and provides ideal conditions for maturation. It is a blend of 11 crus, predominantly 60% Pinot Noir from Verzenay, Aÿ and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, and 40% Chardonnay from Chouilly and Avize. Fermentation takes place entirely in oak barrels, and the wine is aged, sealed with a natural cork, for more than twice the time required by the appellation.

Aroma
The initial aromas are filled with small stone fruits, with notes of Pomme Gris, plum, and Mirabelle plum, complemented by a touch of honey. This is followed by aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry, and raspberry; a blend of red fruits dances with almond notes. Exotic hints of mango appear, dissolving into tertiary notes of vanilla and a delicate woody aroma.
Flavor
On the palate, the wine is dense, generous and captivating, reminiscent of Mirabelle plum compote. The texture and richness define the tasting experience. The finish combines notes of chocolate and citrus fruits, providing a touch of acidity, prolonged by hints of schist.
