The most famous wine of this house was created in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes of Tsar Alexandre II. The Emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve the best cuvée of the house for him every year. He particularly liked the house wine. To distinguish this cuvée, this exceptional champagne came in a transparent boring chum lead crystal bottle. The new brand is named after this precious material, which is particularly transparent and luminous.
