Clarete Barroca da Malhada Trincadeira is made from the Trincadeira grape variety, with manual colheita , spontaneous fermentation, and minimal cellar intervention. The wine results from a combination of three distinct aging processes: in second-use Portuguese oak barrels, amphorae, and stainless steel, which contribute to its complexity and balance. It presents a crystalline and brilliant red color. On the nose, it reveals an intense and fresh expression, with notes of mint and strawberry, accompanied by subtle nuances of brioche and vanilla. On the palate, it is succulent and balanced, with fresh red fruit, a well-integrated earthy side, and excellent freshness.
Barroca da Malhada is a producer of artisanal wines from the Beira Interior region, originating from a historic estate dating back to the Middle Ages and which belonged to the Viscounts of Tinalhas. With approximately five hectares of vineyards cultivated organically and using biodynamic practices, they work with schist-sandy soils of granitic origin, in one of the most mountainous territories of Portugal. The wines reflect a low-intervention approach, prioritizing authenticity, freshness, and expression of the place.
