Description
Disaronno is the "world's favorite Italian liqueur." Thanks to its smooth taste and unmistakable aroma, Disaronno is seen as an icon of Italian style in more than 160 countries worldwide. For over 500 years, Disaronno has represented "made in Italy," and today it is increasingly prominent and always contemporary.
The warm and sophisticated almond liqueur Disaronno has a lineage that dates back to one of the most romantic and creative periods in Italian history – the Renaissance. In 1525, the artist Bernardino Luini, a brilliant student of Leonardo da Vinci, was commissioned to paint a fresco of Our Lady of Miracles in Saronno (where the fresco is still displayed today).
The muse chosen to model the painting, in a simple gesture of kindness and a sign of her gratitude, prepared a special gift for the artist: a bottle filled with a fragrant and delicate amber-colored liqueur. This is how legend says Disaronno came about, from a simple act of kindness and the unique artisanal combination of secret ingredients.
