Domaine Drouhin Oregon Chardonnay
Description

Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay is a wood-aged white wine produced by Domaine Drouhin with the Chardonnay grape variety in Dundee Hills AVA, Oregon (USA).

Domaine Drouhin, the historic Burgundy FR winery, established itself in Oregon in 1987 to discover the virtues of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay outside of France. Led by Véronique Boss-Drouhin, the fourth generation of Drouhin, it produces distinctive, elegant, and sustainable wines of international renown. Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay comes from vineyards located in Dundee Hills, at the foot of the Willamette River. The vines are planted in iron-rich soils and cultivated sustainably. Under the LIVE (Low Input Viticulture and Enology) certification, it focuses on preserving natural resources by reducing the amount of raw materials used.

The work is done manually, and the grapes are harvested in small bags. At the winery, Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay grapes are pressed in whole bunches. The resulting must is fermented with indigenous yeasts, partly in French oak barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks. A result of the absolute mastery of the French Chardonnay variety, Domaine Drouhin Arthur Chardonnay is a fresh, energetic, and vibrant wine produced in the spectacular Oregon wine region.
